UiTM Webitors' English for Second Language Learners' Autonomy Platform (Open & Distance Learning Edition)

This site is designed for ODL activities for UiTM diploma semester 1 and 3 students during the semester March to August 2020 in lieu with the Malaysian Movement Control Order due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Students can find instructions, materials and activities for their online learning within this website.

ELC121 - INTEGRATED LANGUAGE SKILLS I

Students are expected to spend at least 4 hours per week + additional student learning time (SLT) hours in this course.

Upon completion of this course, students should be able to:

  • Demonstrate the ability to listen attentively & express ideas confidently based on various settings at intermediate level.

  • Demonstrate the ability to listen & respond in writing by applying variety of listening skills based on various listening discourses at intermediate level.

  • Demonstrate the ability to read & write at intermediate level based on selected reading materials.

ELC231 - INTEGRATED LANGUAGE SKILLS III

Students are expected to spend at least 4 hours per week + additional student learning time (SLT) hours in this course.

Upon completion of this course, students should be able to:

  • Demonstrate the ability to speak confidently based on non-academic issues in a social setting.

  • Demonstrate the ability to respond to questions by applying a variety of reading strategies based on authentic & non-authentic discourses.

  • Demonstrate the ability to write an expository essay & evaluative commentary in academic/non-academic context individually and in pair.
